Namaste! I’m Neehar—the new yogi on the block.​

I teach out of Toronto’s Riverside, Leslieville, and Beaches neighbourhoods, while quietly (but ambitiously) dreaming of bringing yoga to anyone who wants to move through life with more intention, fluidity, kindness, and connection—to both nature and community.

I stumbled into it in my mid-20s while trying to stay afloat as a rookie journalist in the fast-paced, often brutally intense (but always magical) city of Mumbai. I was burnt out, my health had tanked, and I missed the strength and confidence I used to feel as a student athlete.​

Yoga brought me back to that—but it also introduced me to a softer kind of strength, rooted in kindness and compassion. Instead of being stubborn and impatient (classic only-child energy), I felt calm, open, and less judgmental. I felt free. Honestly, I can’t even remember the last time I lost my temper.​

And (okay, this might sound a little woo-woo), I started noticing subtle signs from nature—little synchronicities that made me feel like the universe had my back. Yoga opened me up to that kind of quiet magic.

To honour my roots and respect the origins of yoga, I’m committed to keeping my classes grounded in authenticity—whether I’m teaching Hatha, Ashtanga, or breathwork. Our practice is a way to bring the systems within us into harmony, so we can live in better harmony with the world around us. This means you won’t just learn how to move—you’ll understand why you're moving that way, how to breathe with both purpose and ease, and how to build a foundation that supports you on and off the mat.

​We won’t rush through sequences. Instead, we’ll spend time in each posture—learning how to align, breathe, feel, and grow in a way that’s safe, intentional, and sustainable. Yes, we’ll explore more advanced postures too—but I’ll break them down step by step with accessible options and hands-on support (always with your consent).

​Whether you're in a private or small group setting, I’ll be right there with you—helping you listen in, tune up, and move with more awareness and confidence. Over time, you’ll notice the difference: deeper breath, better posture, more patience, and maybe even a few signs from the universe of your own. 😉
